When St. Bernadette was a young girl living in Lourdes, France, she saw a vision of Our Lady, “I am the Immaculate Conception,” Mary said to her. Although Bernadette did not know what that meant, she did all that Our Lady asked her to do. As a result the Church learned more about Our Blessed Mother. Bernadette became a nun and spoke no more of her visions. She showed great humility by never seeking fame or recognition, even though Our Lady had chosen her to be God’s messenger.
