St. Padre Pio was an Italian priest in the Capuchin Order to whom God gave many extraordinary abilities for building His Kingdom. Padre Pio received the stigmata (the wounds of Christ), could read souls, and worked many miracles through God’s grace.  False accusations and rumors caused Padre Pio’s superiors to forbid him to offer a public Mass or hear confessions, some of the most important actions of a priest.  Padre Pio obeyed without complaint and did all that was asked of him. Eventually it was proven that he had been acting in the Lord’s service all along.
